Our Privacy Philosophy
We built RemoveBgNow with a simple belief: your images are yours. We do not collect them, store them, or use them for any purpose beyond the background removal you explicitly request. Privacy is not a feature we added later — it is the reason the tool exists the way it does.
Image Uploads and Processing
When you use our background removal tool, the image you select is sent to our servers for processing. Here is exactly what happens:
- Your image is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
- Our servers process the image to remove the background using AI.
- Once processing is complete and you download the result, the image is permanently deleted from our servers.
- If you close your browser tab or leave the page before downloading, the image is deleted automatically within a short period.
We do not keep backups, logs, or copies of your uploaded images. We do not use your images to train or improve our AI models. We do not share your images with any third party beyond the processing infrastructure that performs the background removal.
Third-Party Processing
We use a third-party AI processing service to perform the actual background removal. This service is contractually required to:
- Delete images immediately after processing
- Not store, retain, or log any uploaded images
- Not use uploaded images for training, improvement, or any other purpose
- Maintain industry-standard security practices
Information We Collect
We collect very little data by design. We do not require accounts, so we never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or payment information.
We may collect anonymized, non-personally-identifiable information such as browser type, device type, and general geographic region. This information is aggregated and cannot be traced back to any individual. We use this data solely to understand how people use the tool and identify areas for improvement.
Cookies
We use minimal first-party cookies for basic site functionality and operation. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, social media pixels, or fingerprinting scripts. The cookies we use do not collect personal information and are not used for advertising purposes.
If Google AdSense is displayed on this site in the future, Google may use cookies for ad personalization as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. You can manage your ad preferences through Google’s Ad Settings.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. Our processing infrastructure is secured with industry-standard access controls, firewalls, and regular security audits. We follow security best practices to protect your data during transmission and processing.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. Since we store no personally identifiable information by default, there is typically nothing to access or delete. Children’s Privacy
RemoveBgNow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
